Frequently Asked Questions
What does it cost to play paintball?

The total price for your day of paintball will be dependant on how long you plan to play and how many paintball you use. At TNT Paintball, we promote a low paintball environment so we prefer if you shoot less rather than more. Our average customer shoots around 500 paintballs if they stay all day. So if you are renting and purchase 500 paintballs, it will cost between $60 and $70 depending on if you take advantage of discounts offered. If you stay 3.5 to 4 hours and shoot 300 paintballs, it will cost between $50 and $55. This will include field fees, rentals (mask, marker, and camouflage top), and Jumbo BBQ hotdog and pop for lunch.

Does paintball hurt?

The short answer; yes, sometimes. The best example we've found over the years is that being hit with a paintball is similar to being snapped with a wet towel. On bare skin, you will feel it for sure. With multiple layers, often times you will hardly know you've been hit. When playing, players usually have some adrenaline in their system. The adrenaline will actually help make the discomfort a little more tolerable. We can tell you that without the chance of some minor discomfort, paintball would not be nearly as exhilarating.

I've never played paintball before. Will I have to play with the "pros"?

At TNT Paintball we promote a low paintball usage environment. That means that we expect everyone that visits TNT Paintball to shoot a reasonable amount of paintballs rather than an unreasonable amount. Therefore we rarely separate more skilled players from less skilled players. We do however make sure skilled players are divided up, so each team is equally made up of various skill levels. Playing with more skilled players will teach you better strategy and will no doubt make your paintball experience more fun. If any player steps out of line, whether skilled or less skilled, he/she will be dealt with by our staff. We will not tolerate someone's fun being ruined by another player being a bully.

Who plays paintball?

Practically anyone and everyone. We have doctors, mechanics, lawyers, nurses, office workers, artists, students, construction workers, fathers, mothers, aunts, uncles, and even grandparents play regularly.

How do I know if paintball is right for me?

There really is only one way to find out. Come see for yourself. If you are not sure, but would like to see what it's all about, come check out the facilities on a Saturday or Sunday in person. We have a great viewing area surrounded by safety netting and if you want, we can even provide you with a mask and safety vest and you can accompany some of our staff onto the playing field and check out the action up close and personal?

Are the games supervised?

Absolutely. Each participant is briefed on general rules of the game and expected conduct and most importantly, the safety rules. Once they have been briefed, it's off to play the games, but not without staff supervision. Staff will be on the field with players to make sure they are following all the rules, playing nice and most importantly, playing safe.

How safe is paintball? Will I, or my child get hurt?

No physical activity is without at least some risk of injury. Having said that, here's a link with a some statistics showing how many injuries per 1,000 participants for some popular sports, including paintball . As you can see, participants of sports like soccer for instance, are about 50 times more likely to get injured. Although rare, the most common injuries are those created by running over uneven terrain, such as twisted ankles. These statistics are of course for commercial fields where players are fully supervised.

What should I wear?

We will supply you with a camouflage anorak top, paintball marker and a mask. We do have some camouflage pants for an extra fee, but most people opt to wear a pair of darker pants they won't mind getting a little dirty. The paint from paintball hits will wash out, but you will most likely be kneeling on the ground a bit and your pants will get a bit dirty from that. Wearing shorts is not recommended. Gloves of some sort are a good idea and also a baseball cap worn backwards is also a good idea. Layers of clothing will reduce the discomfort of paintball hits and can be taken off if you get too warm. Sturdy footwear is a must.
